How long is your track record?
ATTCON International Corporation has members who have been translating legal documents for over 20 years.

Do you translate only for corporations, or do you accept orders from individuals?
Although the majority of our translation requests come from companies,  we also accept requests from individual customers.

Do you only translate Japanese and English or do you also handle other languages?
We specialize in Japanese ⇄ English legal translation.

Do you also handle paper-based documents and scanned files?
We prefer that the source document be sent as a MS word file. However, if the document can be clearly read, please attach it when you request a Free Estimate.

What about confidentiality?
We will pay the utmost attention and handle with care any documents you entrust to us. We will strive to maintain the confidentiality of personal information.

Can I request a small amount of translation?
It is possible to handle a small amount, but there is a minimum charge for all translation requests.

How do I request an estimate?

Is the estimate accurate?
As long as there are no issues with the details in the Free Estimate, the invoice amount usually will not exceed the estimate amount.

Do you use machine translation to do the work?
We do not use machine translation.

How long does it take to deliver the translation?
The delivery date depends on the degree of difficulty and volume of the translation manuscript and the timing of your order, but we will do our best to serve you as soon as possible. Please request a Free Estimate to confirm the approximate date of delivery.

Can you handle expedited translation?
If you would like translation delivered in a shorter time than the delivery date, then there will be an extra fee for expedited delivery.

How do you count the number of characters?
We use automatic character count functions.

Does the translation fee have to be paid in advance?
Generally, we require a 50% down payment.

Can I cancel an order after it has been placed?
We start work on the translation immediately after receiving your payment. If you request a cancellation at your convenience, you will be charged the regular rate and receive the portion of the translation that has already been completed.

Is it also possible to request formatting?
We provide simple formatting at no charge. If complex formatting is needed, there may be an additional charge. In that case, we will present you with the estimated cost in advance.

Does the translation fee include attorney review?
For a separate fee, we offer attorney review of the translation.

How is the translation delivered?
The translation will be delivered in an e-mail attachment.

Is it possible to request a certified translation?
Certified translations are provided for a separate fee.

What happens if I find a mistake in the translation after delivery?
If there is any mistake in the translation, we will correct it immediately at no charge.
